Mike Brennan is an experienced defence and aerospace sector professional.

His diverse background spans project management, communications, stakeholder engagement, recruitment, human resources, marketing, and advocacy. Mike currently serves the defence, space an national security portfolio as a project manager.

Prior to joining UQ,  Michael was a Project Manager - Technology Development & Acceleration at the Defence Trailblazer, where he supported the development and execution of industry-led research project proposals aligned to defence, innovation, science and technology priority areas.

Previously, Michael served as the STEM & Corporate Social Responsibility Lead at Northrop Grumman Australia (NGA) and held the role of Talent Acquisition Manager, providing specialist recruitment solutions. His career also includes extensive experience with Defence Force Recruiting sourcing hard-to-fill, niche, and specialist roles for the Australian Defence Force.

Beyond his professional roles, Michael is a director on the board at Women in Aviation International - Australian Chapter. He is passionate about innovation and technology, particularly around aerospace. He holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in human resource management from the University of Southern Queensland.
