Liam McNamara is the Associate Director for the Health and Biomedical Science portfolio within the Strategic Partnerships Office at The University of Queensland.

He is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships, supporting high impact research collaborations, providing strategic leadership & advice, and aligning UQ's health and biomedical capabilities with external opportunities to help strengthen and deepen UQ strategic research partnerships. 

Liam has held leadership and management positions in both university, and industry settings across Australia and the UK. This gives him a unique perspective on how to bridge the gap between academia and industry.  

Liam is passionate about collaborating with people and organisations to capture unrealised value that leads to societal impact.
