Interpreting Memory - In-Person event

Join us for an interactive presentation featuring four QBI researchers studying memory.
Program Overview:
- Introduction to Memory - Dr Matt Kenna will provide an overview of the science of memory, exploring what memory is and how memories are stored. He will also present ways QBI researchers are challenging prominent theories around this curious enigma of the mind.
- Technology and Memory - Mr Richard Ronayne, a PhD student from the Mattingley lab, will demonstrate how researchers use new technology, including VR, to study memory.
- Memory Disorders - Professor Gail Robinson will discuss how diseases like dementia and stroke impact memory and how to recognise when something is going wrong.
- Improving Memory - After a short break for morning tea, Dr Tara Walker will present research on how exercise and selenium can improve memory.
- Q&A Panel - The event will conclude with a Q&A panel featuring our researchers.
