Shaping our Energy Transitions Legacy

The Australian Government has made a firm commitment to drive Australia's transition to net zero. However, transitioning towards a sustainable energy economy has many moving parts and we need the resources, policies, technologies and buy-in to make it work.

At The University of Queensland, we’re investigating how the dynamics of changing energy systems, human-centred technology design, communities and economies can come together to address the enormous challenge of navigating our future energy needs. We need to understand the scale and complexity of transition pathways, community needs, policy and regulatory aspects and developments across regions.

Join our host Mr Dan Brown (Co-Chair Energy Industry, Ashurst) as we explore these complex ideas to ask the question – How are we shaping our Energy Transitions legacy?

Our panel members include:

  • Associate Professor Simon Smart - School of Chemical Engineering
  • Dr Vigya Sharma - Sustainable Minerals Institute
  • Dr Jennifer Yarnold - Centre for Policy Futures
