Inclusive research featuring co-design is becoming an accepted practice in disability research. This event will feature a panel discussion about researching with people with intellectual disabilities in all phases of a project from proposal to outputs.

Researchers with and without disabilities will speak and discuss their work. Opportunities will be available for audience members to ask questions and gain feedback on their own inclusive research practices.

  • 2:00 – 2:45pm - Inclusive Research at UQ with Team Members with and without Down Syndrome
  • 2:45 – 3:15pm - Afternoon Tea
  • 3:15 – 4:00pm - Panel Discussion: Theorising Inclusive Research with People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Note: Additionally, two events—the "Launch of the UQ Disability Inclusion Research and Innovation Plan," and the "UQ DIAN Disability Inclusion Research Showcase"—will precede this panel discussion. These events will be held at the same location from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Note that you will need to register for these events separately.
