Be a biomedical engineer for the day! - In-Person event
The Critical Care Research Group’s Innovative Cardiovascular Engineering and Technology Laboratory (ICETLab) is at the forefront of developing groundbreaking devices, such as artificial hearts and ventricular assist devices. By bridging the gap between innovative ideas and clinical implementation, ICETLab aims to increase survival rates and improve the quality of life for patients with life-threatening conditions like heart failure.
We invite you to join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of ICETLab on Friday morning 4 October:
- Witness ICETLab's world-leading mock circulatory loop in action.
- Discover the role of Computer Fluid Dynamics, Rotary Moulding, and 3D modelling in the development and improvement of medical devices.
- Meet the biomedical engineers, clinicians, and researchers driving innovation in healthcare and biotechnology.
ICETLab is one of the Critical Care Research Group's purpose-built labs located at The Prince Charles Hospital in Chermside, Brisbane.
Established in 2004, the Critical Care Research Group (CCRG) is one of Australia’s largest multidisciplinary research groups. Our mission is to close gaps in current knowledge to improve survival rates and quality of life for patients with life-threatening conditions, such as heart disease, lung disease, sepsis, and other critical health challenges.
