UQ 3MT Final 2025 - In-person event

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a dynamic research communication competition challenging Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) students to present their thesis topic and its significance in just three minutes, using language accessible to a non-specialist audience.

The 2025 UQ 3MT Final will bring together eight outstanding PhD candidates to compete on campus at St Lucia. Finalists include representatives from each of UQ's five Faculties, the winner of the Combined-Institute competition, the Indigenous 3MT competition winner, and a Wildcard entrant.

Join us for a celebration of research excellence, clarity, and creativity, followed by a cocktail reception recognising the finalists and their achievements
