As part of UQ’s 2025 Research and Innovation Week, this showcase event invites guests to step behind the scenes of the Gatton campus to experience how world-class research infrastructure, scientific capability, and cross-sector collaboration are driving innovation across agriculture, veterinary and food sciences.

The in-person event will open with presentations from leading researchers and facility leads at UQ Gatton, showcasing the cutting-edge science, infrastructure and partnerships shaping innovation across these industries.

Following lunch, guests will take part in curated small-group tours across key research facilities, offering rare insight into the spaces where science meets impact. A highlight of the event will include a guided tour of the Queensland Animal Science Precinct (QASP). Attendees will also tour the horticulture fields of UQ Gatton as well as the Small Animal Hospital and the Equine Hospital. 

Transport

A dedicated bus will be arranged to transport attendees from St Lucia to Gatton campus and back. Departure is expected around 9:00am from Chancellor's Place outside the Queensland Biosciences Precinct, with the return trip departing Gatton at 2:30pm arriving at St Lucia at 3:30pm.
