Overview

The UQ Indigenous Research Engagement and Partnerships Fund aims to:

  • Facilitate engagement between The University of Queensland and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities, organisations and individuals to generate research that translates into cultural, social, environmental and economic benefits to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and broader society (Stream 1); and
  • Support the career development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers in any field (Stream 2)

Application Development Support

To assist UQ researchers in preparing their 2026 UQ Indigenous Research Engagement and Partnerships Fund applications, the Research Office will host an information session and a professional development workshop. 

Information Session

The Information Session for the UQ IREP Fund was held on Wednesday 17 June 2026.

The session provided information relevant to UQ IREP Fund applicants and partnerships.

Workshop

The workshop will be focused on supporting researchers to engage, co-design and pitch to potential partners.
