MyResearch Ethics System Improvements

The table below outlines the current updates to the MyResearch Ethics system and is generated to provide the research community with the latest information about impending or recent changes to MyResearch Ethics.

Further support resources for working with MyResearch are available to UQ Staff and Students on the research systems MyResearch Ethics Training Hub. Animal Ethics	Application forms - Attached documents - Internal portal	New documents attached or uploaded to an amendment will now be clearly distinguishable from the original attached or uploaded documents. There will now be a visible *red asterisk ()** besides new documents uploaded by the researcher. This will allow searching and sorting by documents attached to a version of a submission.
10 August, 2021	2.	Animal Ethics	Full application form - Change Fate of Animal question	Other animal care page – Fate of Animals question is now a multi-select option. Animal care pages. If death as an endpoint is selected, there will be a warning message displayed. Permit and Compliance page – add a validation rule for the Collaboration checkbox. Update UQ student email address validation rule. Fix the auto selected Scientific Purpose value for Breeding application.
10 August, 2021	3.	Animal Ethics	Approval certificate	All new approval certificates will now be automatically made visible on the researcher’s portal.
10 August, 2021	4.	Animal Ethics	Full application form	Change the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) question from a drop-down selection to free-text.
10 August, 2021	5.	Animal Ethics	Approval certificate and annual report - animal location change	If UQ Biological Resources Animal Facility check box is selected, show the selected drop-down facility on the certificate/report. If Other UQ laboratory location check box is selected, show Other UQ laboratory location on the certificate/report. If Other UQ location check box is selected, show the selected drop-down location on the certificate/report. If Other Queensland location check box is selected, show the selected drop-down location on the certificate/report. If Other states and international location check box is selected, show Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia, or International location on the certificate/report.
10 August, 2021	6.	Animal Ethics	Full application form	Reformat the AE full application output document to group experimental questions and procedures in the same section as well as reformatting other sections of the document. Add a hyperlinked table of contents (TOC) to the beginning of the output document.
10 August, 2021	7.	Animal Ethics	Application Forms	Provide researchers the ability to search animal species/strains by its common name. The certificates will now display the common name as opposed to its scientific name.
10 August, 2021	8.	Human Ethics	Exemption Form	Non-UQ personnel added in the form will now be automatically mapped to contacts in the internal portal.
