Design Your Strategic Research Career

Participants will work in small teams to design the career strategy of a fictional early career researcher who wants to become a recognised leader in their field within 10–15 years.

Together, they will make strategic decisions about:

• Research focus
• Collaborations
• Funding
• Reputation building
• Research impact

This interactive activity highlights that there is no single correct path to a successful research career, but that strategic thinking and intentional decision-making can make a real difference.
