Nunzio Cristaudo is an Associate Director at the University of Queensland, at the forefront of manufacturing research and infrastructure. He leads UQ’s Advanced Manufacturing Technologies Enterprise Research Partnerships portfolio at the interface of industry, government and universities to bring together manufacturing solutions and large-scale research collaborative opportunities across a range of disciplines, including critical minerals, cellular therapies, food and agriculture, energy, environment, defence, and other enabling industries and digital technologies.

He joins UQ after an extensive career in state and federal government, with expert knowledge of industry manufacturing technologies, government policy development, international trade, strategic partnerships, and advocacy work. Notably, he was instrumental in policy development and law reforms to support government priorities, including the development and implementation of pivotal government industry-focused national initiatives, and negotiating complex agreements with infrastructure providers and international private sector investors.

Energetic and value-led, Nunzio delivers outcomes through high levels of engagement and collaboration. Nunzio contributes substantially to UQ’s commitment to accelerate Australia’s advanced manufacturing capability by fostering research partnerships that drive real-world impact on a global scale.
