Dr Julia Hocking

Dr Julia Hocking is Associate Director, Strategic Partnerships (Health and Biomedical) at The University of Queensland. She has more than 20 years' experience working across academia, healthcare, government and industry, with a particular focus on developing strategic partnerships that drive research, innovation and impact. Julia specialises in connecting researchers with industry, health services, government and community partners to create collaborative opportunities, secure investment, and accelerate translation. Drawing on leadership roles across the university, healthcare and medical technology sectors, she brings extensive expertise in research strategy, funding, stakeholder engagement and partnership development. Julia is passionate about building trusted relationships that deliver meaningful outcomes for research, industry and society.
