National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) funding is awarded across the spectrum of health and medical research, from the basic sciences to clinical, public health, and health services research.
At UQ, NHMRC funding applications must be submitted to the Research Office in UQ Research and Innovation (UQ R&I).
The Research Office is also responsible for the central administration of successful NHMRC grants, including grant establishment and lodgement of post-award variations and NHMRC progress and final reports.
NHMRC scheme information
UQ R&I has a dedicated scheme page for each individual NHMRC funding scheme with useful information and resources. To assist researchers in determining their eligibility in the new Grant Program, the NHMRC has released an Eligibility Tool which calculates limits indicatively. The Research Office can also provide individualised eligibility advice.
