The Emerging Priorities and Consumer Driven Research Initiative (the Initiative) forms part of the MRFF. The Australian Government has announced a total of $633 million over 10 years from 2018-19 for the Initiative. This initiative intends to enable new diagnoses, treatments and cures to those suffering from rare and debilitating conditions.
Within the Emerging Priorities and Consumer Driven Research Initiative, MRFF have announced three opportunities, in the fields of Ovarian Cancer, Endometriosis and in Mental Health Pharmacogenomics. Applications must propose projects intended to develop diagnosis and treatment in these fields, and encourages multi-disciplinary collaborative teams with a highly translational aspect to their proposed work.
