UQ’s Research Office provides support to the UQ research community for grants, contract research and research consultancies throughout the lifecycle of the project.

We are committed to delivering effective and efficient research services as trusted advisors and expert, partnered service providers to enable the research ecosystem.

We work with you to develop high-quality proposals, negotiate terms and conditions and settle agreements. Once awarded, we provide support for you to begin your project and remain compliant with terms, conditions and reporting requirements.

About the Research Office

The Research Office has responsibility for:

  • Assisting researchers apply for funding
  • Coordinating the acceptance and establishment of research grants
  • Assisting research consultancy, contract research agreements and other research agreements
  • Assisting researchers in the commercial framing and negotiation of research agreements for research consultancy, contract research agreements and other research agreements
  • Assisting research funding holders in managing their projects and research investments, and liaising with funding agencies/partners
