Research Integrity Advisors
UQ has appointed academic staff from each Faculty and Institute to the roles of Research Integrity Advisor. Research Integrity Advisors promote the responsible conduct of research at UQ and are able to provide advice on good research practice.
The Research Integrity Advisor's role
Research Integrity Advisors provide a first point of contact for people with concerns related to the responsible conduct of research at UQ. They can help individuals with a concern consider the matter objectively in relation to UQ’s Research Conduct and Integrity policies and procedures and the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (2018). The advisor can assist in considering how the concern might be resolved and can explain the process for making a formal complaint if required.
The Research Integrity Advisor’s role does not extend to assessment or investigation of a concern or to contacting the individual involved. Consulting a Research Integrity Advisor
Anyone with a question or concern about research practices should speak to a Research Integrity Advisor as soon as possible. Issues can often be avoided with early and appropriate communication.
