Applying for funding
UQ researchers are required by UQ policy to submit applications for any research proposal through the RO. The Research Office, which works closely with Faculties and Institutes to support research endeavours.
For HDR students applying for external research training scholarships, the UQ Graduate School will be able to assist you.
All applications for research funding at UQ must be accompanied by a UQ Funding Application Certification form.
Download the UQ Funding Application Certification form (DOTX, 71.1 KB)
This is a general framework for Chief Investigators applying for research grants. Your School/Centre/Institute may also have their own internal application processes.
5. Determine if you need a letter of support
You'll need to read the funder's guidance and check whether you need a letter of support from the University.
Please contact the Research Office if an institutional letter of support is required. We will organise this for you on your behalf. Please be aware that this can take time so the earlier the better.
If you're not sure who needs to provide the letter, speak to your School/Centre/Institute/Faculty or the Research Office.
